Weekend Recap
This was my weekend…
Friday:
Met a new friend for drinks. We clicked. It was great. Seemed like we had known each other forever.
Moved to the next location. Met up with LB and the buddies. Some guy decided to be a smart ass when I moved a chair. I asked his gf to punch him for me. She looked like she wanted to punch me. I have a feeling he gets a little to friendly with other girls for her liking.
Moved to the next location. Laughed and chatted, gave the buddies a hard time. One of the buddies bought the ladies at our table roses and stuffed animals. For some reason it was very important to LB that I leave with the stuffed leopard. He kept trying to stuff it under my shirt to hide it. He may have had a few at that point
My stuffed dwarf was quickly depantsed and let’s just say I don’t think Walt Disney would have approved of the acts that followed.
Went for hot dogs. (It’s a must for LB.) Broke up a fight. I never thought before how it’s acceptable for a girl to try to break up a fight, but if a guy had tried the same thing it would have escalated. Stupid, drunk boys. Discovered my wallet had been stolen. Awesome.
Saturday
Slept for 3 hours. Peeled my eyes open enough to drive to my friends and crash on her couch. Tried to doze while waiting for The Kid to wake up. No such luck.
Go to the bank to order a new debit card, to the SOS to get a new license, which happens to be in the mall…and right next to the play area. I ooh’d and ahh’d over The Kid’s ability to go down the slide. We headed out the door, starving, only to discover my lights were on and my battery dead. Awesome.
Finally make it back to the house. Spend the rest of the day playing princess pirates, house and tea party. All I wanted to do was have a nap time. Why can’t kids take naps at 3 everyday until the age of 10?
Friend finally returned, I peeled The Kid off of me and exited. She’s a cute kid, and I <3 her…but VV needed a nap. Bad. Car starts, seatbelt on, away I go..*crunch* Stupid apartment parking lot. Bad visibility. Bad drivers. Lovely dent in my bumper. Thank goodness for No-Fault.
I went home, hunkered down on the couch and didn’t leave until the next day.
Now, here I am on Monday, feeling like the Twilight Zone dumped me into a random chair, feeling slightly fuzzy, a little sore, and still in need of a nap.
