I laugh. “Well, thank you.”

He continues mumbling something snarky about “shit on my face”, but I am unaware as my eyes rest on the glorious, sugary contents of the box before me.

At least the man is wise enough to say “I’m sorry.  I know I was a bit of an ass.” with more than words.
